It was my first time attending Asian Youth Day which was held on the 10-17 August 2014 in Daejeon, South Korea.
I was so lucky. Because:
1. Pope Francis was there too! It was the first time ever a Pope attending an Asian Youth Day.
2. I get to be on TV. Hahahaha..
I love this Cross I bought in Madaba, Jordan. It’s the Lord’s Prayer written in Arabic.
Aba na alathie fi asamawat,
Li yatakadas ismoka, Li ya’atie malakotoka,
Litakon mashia toka,
Kama fisama’ kathaleka ‘ahla al a’ard.
A’atinia khubzana kafafa yawmina,
Wa igfer lana khatayana,
Kama naahnu naghfer la man akhta’a elayna,
Wa la tudkhilna fit a jareeb;
Laken najjina min ashireer.
Lia’anna laka al kowata wal majd, al aan wa ila abad al aabideen.
Okayy!!.. I’m writing about Glee again. After a whole month waiting in agony for Episode 6 (Season 4), it was worth waiting as the new episode was about ‘Glease’ or ‘Grease’. The movie ‘Grease’ has always been one of my favourite movie of all time 😀
The main reason: Of course the songs! 🙂
Beauty School Dropout
Until now I’m not sure whether I want to attend World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Logo. Winning design by 25-year-old Brazilian, Gustavo Huguenin.
The theme song.
I wanna go! 😉
Okay now, after watching Glee Season 4, episode 2 ‘The New Rachel’, I think I like this new character. Marley Rose (Melissa Benoist)
Marley Rose is a character on Glee. She is a sophomore who joins New Directions in The New Rachel. She and her mother, who works as a lunch lady, are poverty stricken. This, and her mother’s weight, has led to Marley being isolated, as she was never accepted in any of her other schools. Marley aspires to one day be a singer on the radio. (Glee Wiki)
Welcome to McKinley High, Marley! 🙂
Melissa Benoist as Marley Rose.
This 1985 trilogy movie has always been my favorite. I bought the DVDs years ago so I can watch it whenever I want to 😀
Here are some quotes from the movie that are still in my mind:
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything~Marty McFly
This is heavy~Marty McFly
The way I see it, if you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?~Doc
Doc and Marty
Oh yeah. I even bought the DeLorean model. Haha…
This memorable song during the SYD3 closing mass reminds me of the youths prayers, hope and love 🙂
It was sung during the presentation of gifts. The book contains the youths prayers and hope.
In the middle of the song, when the book reached the altar, the choirs stop singing leaving with the background music and the commentator announced the purpose of the book to everybody. Co-Adjutor Archbishop John Wong asked the two young men to lift the book. Cool eh! 😉
