SYD3 Theme Song

Are you attending Sabah Youth Day 3 this August?  You had better learn this song together with the action :-)

Berakar Dan Dibangun Dalam Kristus by Rolland Francis

Hatiku penuh syukur

MenerimaMu Yesusku

Penuh kasih dan belas kasihan

Di SalibMulah

Kasih Allah Bapa terbukti

Yang menjanjikan penyelamatan

Jangan biarkan

Kuasa ajaran dunia

Menipu dan menyesatkan kita

Cho:

Marilah bersatu hati

Mengalahkan kuasa dunia

Berakar dan dibangun dalam Kristus

Bersaksilah bagi Dia

Hiduplah dalam kasihNya

Teguhkanlah imanmu pada Yesus

Selamanya…

Woohoo!!..

Whitney Houston

When my sister bought our first CD player in the 80s, one of the first CDs we bought was Whitney Houston’s second album, Whitney.

whitney houston

With voice so great like Whitney Houston playing on CD, for sure you won’t be disappointed buying an original CD which cost so much compare to a cassette tape.  One will fell in love with her voice almost instantly.

These two songs are always my favorite songs from this album. (Of course you have to listen to it on YouTube)

Didn’t We Almost Have It All. Whoaa.. Nostalgia betul-betul owh :’-(

I Know Him So Well (Whitney’s duet with her Mom: Cissy Houston)

Thanks for your music, Whitney.

Rest In Peace.

Birthday Prayer

Thank you, God, for giving me another year of life.
Thank you for all the people who remembered me today.

Thank you for all the experience of this past year;
for times of success which will always be happy memories,
for times of failure which reminded me of my own weakness and of my need for you,
for times of joy when the sun was shining,
for times of sadness which drove me to you.

Forgive me
for the hours I wasted,
for the chances I failed to take,
for the opportunities I missed this past year.
Help me in the days ahead to make this the best year yet,
and through it to bring good credit to myself,
happiness and pride to my loved ones,
and joy to you. Amen.

Two Months Leave

Well… Almost. I meant two months leave from blogging. Today is the last day of January 2012.  I had better write something on my blog :-D

Whatta messy desk I got here in my room :p

My DSLR camera has been resting for a while.  Since I bought my compact camera specially for World Youth Day, I seldom use my DSLR.  It seems the camera is too heavy for me :-D

This is Abboo, my compact camera. Canon Powershot A3300IS.  :-)

You can view my WYD2011, Real Madrid Stadium and pilgrimage pictures I shot using this camera. Not bad eh.

Then after a while, I’m so lazy to bring either my DSLR or compact camera.  So, I use my iPhone instead.  The pictures look great too.  It’s a matter of implementing ‘the art of seeing’ when taking pictures.  Take a look at some samples from my iPhone:

This year I’m involve with 3rd Sabah Youth Day organizing team.  It’s a Catholic event similar to World Youth Day.  But this one is for the state of Sabah only. I’ll be talking about this a lot this year :-)   In the mean time, feel free to browse the event’s blog, SYD3 Tambunan.

Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

What else is about Madrid if it’s not about the famous soccer team, Real Madrid.  Actually we’ve already visited outside the stadium during World Youth Day.  We were supposed to ask the voluntario what to do there, instead we asked the African pilgrims where was the place for Adoration after a brief photo sessions.

Anyways, we had a quick visit at the stadium after our pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal.  Here are the pictures just to prove that we were there I would like to share with you. Have fun! :-)

Pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal

Oh, did I tell you I went to Fatima, Portugal after World Youth Day 2011 ended?  Since Spain and Portugal are neighbors, we took the opportunity to visit the place where Mother Mary appeared to the three children in Fatima.

I Was There!

…and I still can’t believe I was one of the 2.6 million pilgrims gathered at Cuatro Vientos Airfield, Madrid Spain on the 21 August 2011 during World Youth Day 2011.

There I am.  I was in the D3 group.  Yeah, that’s me.  Can you spot where I stand? :-D
